"Oppenheimer" Dominated the Academy Awards
The film about the creator of the atomic bomb swept away this year’s Oscars.
The long wait is over, and we finally know the Academy Awards winners for films made last year. The Best Picture award goes to “Oppenheimer,” with its creator Christopher Nolan also taking home the trophy for Best Director. Cillian Murphy was honored as the Best Actor for his role as the titular character, American physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer, in “Oppenheimer.”
Emma Stone claimed the title of Best Actress for her performance as Bella Baxter in “Poor Things.” Robert Downey Jr. secured the Best Supporting Actor award for his portrayal of Lewis Strauss in “Oppenheimer.” The Best Supporting Actress trophy goes to Da’Vine Joy Randolph for her role as Mary Lamb in “The Holdovers.”
