Tia Adeola Celebrates 10th Anniversary with a Runway Show at NYFW
The collection marked 10 years of the brand and was celebrated through cultural heritage and loads of ruffles.
Tia Adeola returned to New York Fashion Week on Sunday, Feb 9th, to present her latest FW25 collection.
Apart from showcasing her signature ruffle designs, which have become synonymous with the brand, the Nigerian designer also incorporated various cultural influences with contemporary craftmanship into the runway show.
Spectators could see designs such as matching mini skirt sets adorned with coral beads, maxi dresses fully embroidered with cowry shell beads, or eye-catching feather pieces.
Many models had additional shell beads braided into their hair, adding to the collection’s thematic depth.
Adeola emphasized that each piece is a tribute to both tradition and modernity, intertwining her personal history with a global perspective. The collection served as a heartfelt homage to her roots, celebrating identity while hinting at the exciting possibilities ahead.
