Sophie Nélisse teases a major cliffhanger in ‘Yellowjackets’ season 3 and shares hopes for a season 4 rescue storyline.

Canadian actress Sophie Nélisse, who plays young Shauna in Yellowjackets, just shared an update about the show’s potential fourth season — more specifically, whether the series will continue or not.

Talking to The Direct, Nélisse was quite optimistic about season 4, saying:

“I haven’t heard anything, but I think it would be crazy if we didn’t get one. Maybe I’m just being delusional…”

Nélisse revealed that the upcoming season 3 finale, which airs on April 13, will leave viewers on such a cliffhanger that it wouldn’t make sense to stop there. There’s just no way.

Later in the interview, Nélisse also said she’d like the team to be rescued in season 4 and see what their normal lives would look like after everything they’ve been through. She also shared an angle she’d love to explore in the series — with some of the Yellowjackets wanting to stay behind and not return to reality.

The penultimate episode of season 3, titled How the Story Ends, airs on April 6, followed by the season finale, Full Circle, on April 13.
