Indie rock musician Sam Fender has just released the music video for his latest single, People Watching.

People Watching is th elead track for Sam Fender’s upcoming album set to land on February 21, 2025. Co-produced with the songwriter The War on Drugs, Adam Granduciel, the song dives into themes of loss and self-reflection.

Fender has said it’s a tribute to Annie Orwin, a family friend and mentor he saw as a second mother. The single made an instant impact, debuting at number four on the UK Singles Chart—his third top-ten hit so far.

An incredibly well-shot music video features the famous actor Andrew Scott, whose character goes through a series of life events. It seems that he becomes homeless, goes through a breakup, and stays by his mother’s side as she lies on her deathbed.

Despite the many hardships life throws at him, he keeps his chin up and dances his sorrows away. Regardless of the song’s lyrics and visuals, it has a surprisingly uplifting effect on the listener.

We can’t wait for Fender’s full album release and will keep you posted as soon as it’s available online.
