Rebecca Black Joins Forces with Katy Perry for Lifetimes Tour

During their shared performance of ‘Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.),’ Katy Perry surprised the crowd by kneeling before Rebecca Black for a Lifetimes Tour invitation.
Rebecca Black, who gained fame with her viral hit Friday, recently joined
Katy Perry on stage at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles. The duo performed Perry’s 2011 track Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.), reminiscing their collaboration from the original music video.
During the performance, Perry surprised Black by inviting her to join the upcoming Lifetimes Tour, which Perry describes as “Disneyland on Wheels.”
Reflecting on their history, Black has previously shared that during the intense backlash following Friday, Perry, along with Lady Gaga, was among the few who offered her support. Black faced severe online bullying and even death threats, leading her to be homeschooled for two years. Perry’s encouragement during that challenging period played a crucial role in Black’s continued pursuit of her passion for music.
With Perry’s public endorsement and the opportunity to join the Lifetimes Tour, Black is back to redefine her place in pop culture, moving beyond her early viral image to establish herself as a serious artist.
