New 'Petrichor' Album by 070 Shake Is Out Today!

Danielle Balbuena, a.k.a. 070 Shake, released an incredible body of work spanning a unique blend of pop, hip-hop, and alternative sounds.

If you are wondering about the name of the album, Petrichor means “a pleasant smell that frequently accompanies the first rain after a long period of warm, dry weather.”

Indeed, this is a fresh new outlook on music—a genre-bending sonic experience across 13 tracks. It’s also fun to hear a track like Lungs, which kind of breaks the whole narrative in the middle of the LP, bringing a quasi-demonic feel with heavy electronics and a fast-paced beat.

The song Elephant was also presented on YouTube with a fully-fledged music video. It showcases eccentric modern choreography with ballet notions, presumably shot on film. The cinematography for this video deserves an Oscar.
