G Flip Drops New Single 'In Another Life' from Upcoming Album

G Flip unveils another track from her upcoming album Dream Ride, scheduled for release this September.

The forthcoming album is by far the most ambitious project the Australian pop-rock artist has presented to date, and it promises to be a car-ride-themed experience from start to finish.

G Flip says Dream Ride came together after countless late-night drives to the studio, which naturally led to car-inspired lyrics in the songs they were making. They mentioned a love for old cars and shared that they really wanted to drive a Barracuda. The album cover features G Flip standing next to a hot pink car with a retro look.

“When diving in and writing this record, I was sonically captivated by the ’80s. I love the use of reverb, the drum tones, all the sonics, the musicality, the soloing, and big drum moments,” G Flip said in a press statement. “I also really wanted to make a world to accompany the music and storytelling. I kept asking myself, ‘Who would I have been in the 80’s? What would I wear, what haircut would I have, and what car would I drive?’”
