The 2025 Tribeca Film Festival takes place from June 4 to June 15, and among the many movies premiering from A-list actors, there will also be some from emerging stars in the industry. Let’s take a look at a few you won’t want to miss!
Everything’s Going to Be Great follows Buddy and Macy, a couple whose lives haven’t quite gone the way they hoped. When things fall apart, they end up moving in with a distant relative, which forces them to confront the messy, unfinished parts of their lives — from old dreams to family tensions. It’s about starting over when you least expect it.
Bryan Cranston and
Allison Janney star as Buddy and Macy, joined by rising actors
Jack Champion and
Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, along with
Simon Rex and
Chris Cooper. The film premieres on June 9.
Sovereign is about Jerry and his teenage son Joe, who don’t believe in following the rules — especially not the government’s. They travel across the country, trying to live life on their own terms. But when they cross paths with a local police chief, things spiral fast. What starts as a tense moment turns into something much more dangerous, with serious consequences.
The film stars Nick Offerman and
Jacob Tremblay as the father and son, with
Dennis Quaid,
Nancy Travis,
Martha Plimpton, and
Thomas Mann. It will have its world premiere at the festival on June 8.
Tow tells the true story of Amanda Ogle, a woman in Seattle who was living in her car when it was stolen. After it was recovered, she was hit with a massive tow bill she couldn’t afford. The film follows her fight to reclaim both her car and her life, showing how one person stood up to a system that seemed impossible to fight.
Rose Byrne stars as Amanda, alongside
Dominic Sessa,
Demi Lovato,
Ariana DeBose,
Octavia Spencer, and
Simon Rex. Tow premieres at the festival on June 7.
Rosemead is about Irene, a mother in California’s San Gabriel Valley, played by Lucy Liu. She’s facing terminal cancer while trying to hold her family together. But when she begins to suspect her teenage son Joe is fixated on mass shootings, she’s faced with a terrifying choice — protect him, or protect others.
Joining Liu is rising actress Madison Hu, along with
Lawrence Chou,
Jennifer Lim, and Eleven Lee. The film premieres on June 6.
