Lainey Wilson Returns to C2C as a Headliner Six Years After Her Festival Debut

Lainey Wilson returns as a C2C headliner, six years after her festival debut, marking her rise to country music stardom.
American country singer-songwriter Lainey Wilson is one of three headliners at this year’s Country to Country Music Festival, alongside
Dierks Bentley and
Cody Johnson. But it was six years ago that she first performed at the festival.
The 2019 Country to Country Music Festival was headlined by Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, and
Chris Stapleton. Wilson performed on the same stage as
Abby Anderson,
RaeLynn, and
Noah Schnacky. Around that time, she was working on her Redneck Hollywood EP, which was released in September of that year.
Four years and two studio albums later, Wilson returned to Country to Country in 2023, moving up the ranks from a smaller stage to the main stage. That year, the festival was headlined by Thomas Rhett, Lady A, and Zac Brown Band.
Last year, Wilson released her fifth studio album, Whirlwind, which ranked #2 on Billboard magazine’s “The 10 Best Country Albums of 2024.” Now, she’s gearing up for her upcoming Whirlwind World Tour, which kicks off on August 14 in Phoenix, Arizona.
