Kylie Cantrall and Malia Baker Reveal 'Descendants 5' Is Officially in the Works

The two Descendants: The Rise of Red actresses, Kylie Cantrall and Malia Baker, have some great news for fans of the franchise! Cantrall took to Instagram to share a video of herself and Baker announcing that the fifth Descendants movie is in the works.

The video shows Cantrall FaceTiming Baker to tell her it’s time to head back to Auradon, to which Baker responds, “Are you saying what I think you’re saying?” before the video cuts to reveal that the next chapter is coming in 2026.

Descendants: The Rise of Red premiered last year on Disney+ and broke the platform’s record as Disney Branded Television’s most-viewed premiere, with 6.7 million views in its first three days of streaming. The Rise of Red also became Disney+'s most-streamed live-action original movie since Hocus Pocus 2.

Joining Cantrall and Baker in the upcoming installment are Leonardo Nam, returning as Maddox Hatter; Liamani Segura as Pink; Brendon Tremblay as Max Hatter; Alexandro Byrd as Luis Madrigal; and Kiara Romero as Hazel Hook.
