Kathryn Newton brings '80s goth girl vibes to life in “Lisa Frankenstein,” a zany horror-comedy now streaming on Prime Video.

Who knew reanimating a Victorian corpse could be so… fun? Kathryn Newton’s latest flick, Lisa Frankenstein, is serving up some serious '80s horror-comedy realness on Prime Video, and it’s a wild ride from start to finish.

Newton stars as a goth girl with a, let’s say, unusual taste in men - namely, the undead kind. Directed by Zelda Williams (yep, Robin’s daughter) and penned by Jennifer’s Body scribe Diablo Cody, this movie’s got quirk written all over it.

Cole Sprouse and Liza Soberano round out the cast, bringing the laughs and the screams in equal measure. It’s like Weird Science meets Frankenstein, with a dash of teen angst thrown in for good measure.

Critics might be split, but horror-comedy fans are eating it up. If you’re in the mood for something offbeat and totally bonkers, Newton’s goth girl adventure is just a click away on Prime. Just don’t blame us if you start eyeing that cemetery down the street differently.
