Jacob Elordi’s 'The Narrow Road to the Deep North' Drops First Trailer Ahead of Its Premiere

Jacob Elordi stars in The Narrow Road to the Deep North, a gripping war drama premiering April 18, 2025, with a new trailer out.
Jacob Elordi’s upcoming drama miniseries, The Narrow Road to the Deep North, premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival in January, and after the premiere, it was revealed that the series would be released soon after. Now, the very first trailer is here, giving us a taste of what’s to come.
The five-part miniseries is based on Richard Flanagan’s novel of the same name, which explores the horrors experienced by Australian prisoners of war who were forced to work on the Thai-Burma Death Railway during World War II. The story follows Dorrigo Evans (played by Elordi), a surgeon and war hero grappling with the traumas of war, his romances, and the lasting scars of survival.
In the miniseries, Elordi portrays the younger version of Dorrigo Evans, while Ciarán Hinds takes on the role of the older Dorrigo.
Odessa Young plays Amy Mulvaney, the young wife of Dorrigo’s uncle, with whom he begins a passionate love affair. Their deep connection continues to haunt Dorrigo even in his later years.
Alongside Elordi, Young, and Hinds, the series features an ensemble cast, including Olivia DeJonge,
Heather Mitchell,
Thomas Weatherall, and
Simon Baker.
The Narrow Road to the Deep North premieres on April 18, 2025.
