Jack Quaid’s upcoming action comedy Novocaine is just four days away from release, and now the final trailer has dropped, giving viewers a better look at Quaid’s quirky, pain-free hero.
Novocaine follows Nathan Caine (Quaid), an ordinary guy who suffers from a rare genetic condition called Congenital Insensitivity to Pain (CIP), meaning he’s unable to feel physical pain. When his girlfriend (
Amber Midthunder) is taken hostage during a bank robbery, Nathan uses his unusual condition to his advantage as he sets out to rescue her.
Quaid and Midthunder are joined by
Ray Nicholson as Simon, a bank robber;
Jacob Batalon as Roscoe, Nathan’s gaming friend; and
Betty Gabriel and
Matt Walsh as Mincy and Coltraine, officers from the SDPD. Filming took place in Cape Town, South Africa, in April 2024.
Besides Novocaine, Quaid will also star in the action-comedy Heads of State alongside
Idris Elba and
John Cena, and the crime thriller Neighborhood Watch with
Jeffrey Dean Morgan and
Malin Akerman.
