Dakota Fanning Boards Sally Potter’s Star-Packed 'Alma'

Dakota Fanning joins Pamela Anderson and Lindsay Duncan in Sally Potter’s new comedy-drama film ‘Alma’, now in pre-production.
American actress Dakota Fanning is set to join industry legends
Pamela Anderson and
Lindsay Duncan in Sally Potter’s new feature film, the comedy-drama Alma.
Deadline reports she’ll also star alongside Arinzé Kene,
Esther McGregor,
Esmé Creed-Miles, and
Earl Cave. The film is currently in pre-production and is expected to start shooting in September in England.
Alma is about a family that reunites to scatter their mother’s ashes at a place that meant something to her. As they spend time together, old tensions resurface and long-held family secrets begin to emerge.
Fanning most recently starred in the supernatural horror The Watchers, alongside Georgina Campbell and
Olwen Fouéré. She’s also executive-producing the documentary series Mastermind: To Think Like a Killer about Ann Burgess, as well as the drama series Margo’s Got Money Troubles, with her sister
Elle Fanning and
Nicole Kidman.
