Clairo Joins SASAMI for 'In Love With A Memory'

Clairo fans have something new to love—she’s featured on In Love With A Memory, the latest single from SASAMI’s upcoming album Blood On The Silver Screen, which is set to drop in a few weeks.

SASAMI revealed that In Love With A Memory was the first song she wrote for the album, drawing inspiration from her mother’s karaoke performances. “Most of her go-to numbers were oooold Japanese and Korean folk songs that low-key kind of made me feel like I was in a horror film or David Lynch movie,” she explained. She imagined her mother “in a Julee Cruise-type setting—single jazz lounge spotlight and cigarette smoke hanging stalely in the air.”

While Clairo doesn’t appear in the Jay Swuen-directed video, SASAMI described her contribution as “a magnificent gift” that added an extra layer of emotional depth.

Blood On The Silver Screen is out on March 7 and SASAMI has also announced a North America tour in support of the album:
