Chloe Bailey Reveals Her Love for 'GNX' and Her Surprising Kendrick Lamar Fantasy

Chloe Bailey, one half of the duo Chloe x Halle, is opening up about her love for Kendrick Lamar! It’s been over a week since Lamar unexpectedly dropped his new album GNX to everyone’s surprise, and it’s already breaking records and receiving praise from all sides.

One of the fans showering him with praise is die-hard Kendrick fan Chloe Bailey, who recently did a livestream where she shared her love for the new album and revealed that she’s been a huge Kendrick fan since his debut album Section.80—and maybe even earlier.

But her admiration goes beyond simple fandom—Chloe once believed she was destined to end up with him!

“Ask Halle, ask Branson. About eight years ago, I had a whole Kendrick phase. Like, I’ve had phases, right? I had a James Fauntleroy phase. I had a Frank Ocean phase. I had a Twigs phase. I had a Tune-Yards phase. I had a Kendrick Lamar phase, and I was convinced I was going to be with him.”

She then shared her favorite tracks off Lamar’s GNX: man in the garden, luther (featuring SZA), reincarnated, and tv off. Earlier during the stream, she mentioned that she’s had the album on repeat for four or five days.

Some people criticized Chloe for speaking about Lamar in this way, noting that he’s engaged to Whitney Alford and has two children with her. Others defended her, saying there’s nothing wrong with Kendrick being admired by female artists.
