The release of Aimee Lou Wood and
Jodie Whittaker’s drama miniseries Toxic Town is slowly approaching, and what’s better to make the wait shorter than an official trailer for the series?
Toxic Town is a four-part miniseries that follows the story of three mothers involved in the Corby toxic waste case, a legal battle in the UK concerning birth defects caused by toxic waste exposure in Corby, Northamptonshire.
Besides Aimee Lou Wood and Jodie Whittaker, the series also features Robert Carlyle,
Rory Kinnear,
Brendan Coyle,
Claudia Jessie, and
Joe Dempsie, among others.
Most recently, Wood appeared in the British comedy Seize Them! with Nicola Coughlan and in the series Alice & Jack and Daddy Issues. She is also set to star in the crime thriller Sweet Dreams alongside
Nick Frost and
Paapa Essiedu.
Wood will also star in the upcoming third season of The White Lotus, and she has her own TV series in the works titled Film Club, which she co-writes and stars in with Suranne Jones,
Nabhaan Rizwan,
Adam Long, and
Liv Hill.
Toxic Town premieres on Netflix on February 27, 2025.
