'The Sims' Characters are Heading from Computer Screens to the Silver Screen
A new film based on the games from “The Sims” series has begun its presentation.
Kate Herron, known for directing series such as “Loki,” “Doctor Who,” and the upcoming “The Last of Us,” will be involved in a new film project based on video games.
She will co-direct alongside Briony Redman, who will serve as the screenwriter for the film adaptation of “The Sims”. This renowned gaming series, where players take care of in-game characters known as “Sims,” fulfilling their needs, building homes for them, and observing and influencing their lives, was first introduced by Maxis in 2000 and has since seen numerous sequels.
According to Variety, the film project “The Sims” is still in its early stages, and the production company LuckyChap Entertainment (whose founders include, for example, Margot Robbie) is seeking a film studio to collaborate on the project.
