Bulgarian actress Maria Bakalova recently graced the Cannes Film Festival, celebrating the premiere of her new film “The Apprentice,” where she stars as Ivana Trump. The film, featuring Sebastian Stan as Donald Trump, delves into Trump’s tumultuous rise as a real estate mogul in New York during the 1970s and 80s. Alongside Bakalova and Stan, the cast includes Jeremy Strong and Martin Donovan.
In her latest Instagram post, Bakalova expressed immense pride and gratitude for being part of this project, acknowledging the collaboration with talented artists and the support from cinema legends like Cate Blanchett and new talents Cynthia Erivo and Zahra Amir Ebrahimi.
“The Apprentice” not only attracted attention for its portrayal of historical figures but also sparked controversy, prompting Donald Trump’s legal team to issue a cease and desist letter to the filmmakers.
