David Beckham opens London Fashion Week June 2024
The British Fashion Council Ambassadorial President David Beckham has officially opened this year’s London Fashion Week June edition.
“I have been part of London Fashion Week for a number of years and I am also struck by the sheer talent of our industry and how lucky we are to have such a diverse mix of fashion businesses. From Savile Row to sportswear, British Fashion continues to influence and have impact worldwide and this is a huge part due to our unique and manufactural city,” Beckham said during the opening ceremony.
The London Fashion Week June will last until Sunday, June 9. This year, the event has a new focus on amplifying diverse British designers and brands, especially in the menswear sector, including rising UK talent and British heritage brands.
In addition, this year, the event is putting the spotlight on cultures that have a significant contribution to the British fashion industry, with the aim of showcasing different culture each year. Throughout the programme, credentialed guest curators will focus on exploring Black, South Asian and Queer communities.
