Raised in Athens, Texas, she initially worked as a hairstylist before launching her music career in 2017 with the single Lewis & Clark.
Her breakthrough came in 2018 with Trapper’s Delight, which gained widespread attention, followed by her debut EP, DUH!.
In 2019, she released her mixtape Hurricane Tay, and in 2020, her single Bussin became a viral hit on TikTok, peaking at #41 on the U.S. Viral 50.
