But if you love me, why do I feel so much pain?
Why I feel so much anger and feel so much rage?
All this trauma as a kid made me feel like no one protect me,
Feelings when I notice, everyone would just neglect me.
Uncle would creep up in my room when I would try to tell him stop,
Took advantage of my body while my aunt would sit and watch.
Been through the rain, know how it feel to get wet,
I’ve been running for so long, don’t know how it feel to get rest.
There’s some things that I can’t change, know how it feel to regret,
Said they came but never came, I know how it feel to get left.
Walked around with garbage bags, that’s where I put my clothes in,
Blessed be the rock, the light shines in my darkest moments.
Rarely they would pick me, but that’s just because I’m chosen,
I just made a wish and then I threw it in the ocean.
Know that I’m a goat, know that I’m a star,
Know that I be ridin’ round, know that I’m a god.
I came from a small town, but I’ma do it large,
We all got our scars, but this is who we are.
Know that I’m a goat, know that I’m a star,
Know that I be ridin’ round, know that I’m a god.
I come from a small town, but I’ma do it large,
We all got our scars, but this is who we are.
I wish that I could feel, wish that I could love,
Wish that I could show emotions, wish that I could hug.
Wish that I was certain, wish that I was sure,
Too much to endure when we all fuckin’ poor.
My back is to the wall, scars and stripes to mixtape,
Comin’ sooner than you motherfuckers stink.
