There’s a new chapter in the ongoing drama involving Halle Bailey, DDG, and their son, Halo!

It all started when Bailey was out of town, leaving DDG in charge of little Halo. During this time, DDG appeared on Kai Cenat’s livestream with Halo, where hundreds of thousands of viewers could see him—a move Bailey couldn’t overlook.

Bailey then took to X to express her frustration, explaining how upsetting it was for her, as she had no prior knowledge of the livestream and felt she should be there to protect Halo from any potential risks. In a follow-up tweet, she also shared that she’s still struggling with severe postpartum symptoms, which contribute to her heightened sensitivity.

While some supported her perspective, many defended DDG, pointing out that he is also Halo’s parent and that Halo is safe with him. Some even argued that it was inconsistent of Bailey to criticize DDG for showing Halo publicly, given that she frequently posts pictures of Halo to her millions of social media followers. This backlash reportedly led Bailey to delete her social media accounts.

The following day, Bailey admitted to overreacting and apologized for publicly criticizing DDG’s decision. She acknowledged that she knows Halo is safe with his dad and even thanked Kai Cenat for the gifts he gave.

Now, DDG is sharing his perspective on the situation in a YouTube video titled “Finally responding to Halle…” where he expresses understanding and support for Bailey, recognizing that she’s under a lot of pressure and dealing with experiences he, as a man, might never fully understand.

“One thing I don’t like is when people hate on Halle. I don’t care if people think she’s wrong or not, or if I think she’s wrong or right. She could be going through something mentally after having a kid that I can’t understand as a man.”

DDG’s response comes across as very mature, as he stands by the mother of his child and emphasizes the importance of a positive co-parenting relationship so that Halo can grow up with two loving parents, even if they’re no longer together. He even goes as far as to say that both he and Halo need Halle. How sweet!

“So when situations like this happen, I try to handle it with as much grace as possible because Halo needs her. I need her. We need each other to create a childhood that’s safe, fun, and memorable for him.”

He concludes by saying that Halo is the greatest blessing of his life and expresses gratitude to Halle for giving him the chance to be a dad. Who knows—maybe the two will find their way back to each other in the future!
