Combster's All Things Go Festival Artist Spotlight: David Kushner
What if you discovered your hidden talent after high school?
For David Kushner, this was reality, as he realized he could sing only after graduating. Teaming up with a friend in Florida, he began writing songs and teaching himself guitar — no vocal coach, just pure passion.
His big break came with Miserable Man in January 2022, when it became a TikTok sensation. He followed up with the wonky Mr. Forgettable, a narrative from an Alzheimer’s patient’s perspective. Both tracks appeared on his first EP, Footprints I Found.
He continued to build his repertoire with the release of Daylight in 2023. It was also him, who launched the TikTok trend “You look happier, what happened” — a call to his fans to share what brings them joy.
David’s music is rooted in Christian faith, and he often includes the beliefs in his soul-influenced pop tunes. Live performances are another big part of his career. So far, he’s opened for artists like Lauv and Dean Lewis and also headlined his own Daylight 2.0 tour.
This guy is obviously one to watch, so stop waiting and get ready for his show at All Things Go Music Festival!
