Charley Crockett Announces Debut Major Label Album 'Lonesome Drifter'
Fans won’t have to wait long for a taste: on January 31, the album’s title track arrives as the lead single.
Charley Crockett’s been hustling from the subways to the big stage, and now he’s back again with a new deal at Island Records. Even though he recorded it before his 2024 releases, $10 Cowboy and Visions of Dallas, this new album still vibes with his classic country style.
He teamed up with Shooter Jennings to co-produce the record live at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles. The title track, Lonesome Drifter, hits streaming on January 31 — it’s an old subway jam he wrote in NYC and polished while working on California farms. Fans can also expect a cover of Amarillo By Morning, plus a fresh take on Jamestown Ferry.
Crockett’s releases hav earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Americana Album, and he’s now set to headline Rodeo Houston on March 17. This new label partnership ensures he keeps full creative control while reaching a broader audience.
The official drop for Lonesome Drifter lands on March 14. Fans can already pre-save and pre-order the album here.
