The day before the prestigious Oscars ceremony, another notable event took place. On March 9, 2024, the 44th Golden Raspberry Awards were announced in Los Angeles, recognizing the worst offerings from the film industry as voted by 1,179 members of the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation. Let’s take a look at who claimed these “prestigious” awards this year.
The Worst film was an independent slasher movie titled “Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey,” directed by Rhys Frake-Waterfield, who also received the award for Worst Director.
Jon Voight was named the Worst Actor in a leading role, captivating the foundation members with his performance in “Mercy” (directed by Tony Dean Smith).
The award for Worst Actress in a leading role went to Megan Fox, who starred in the horror film “Johnny & Clyde” (directed by Tom DeNucci). Sylvester Stallone “earned” the award for Worst Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Barney Ross in the action film “Expend4bles” (directed by Scott Waugh). The female counterpart of this award once again went to the previously recognized Megan Fox, who also appeared in “Expend4bles.”
