Kaledonia Pictures drew inspiration from “The Unknown” while shooting a new horror film, a character that gained attention at an event buzzing on the internet.

Bloody Disgusting has reported that the unsuccessful family event inspired by “Willy Wonka,” which ended with the police being called by angry parents, has inspired Kaledonia Pictures to produce an independent horror film. Filmmakers were specifically inspired by the terrifying character named “The Unknown,” portrayed by a young girl at the event for whom it was her first paid acting opportunity.

“The Unknown” does not originate from the pen of writer Roald Dahl, whose novel “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” (1964) inspired the event in Scotland, but was instead conceived by artificial intelligence, whose instructions guided the hired actors at the event. The film’s story, set to premiere at the end of 2024, revolves around a renowned illustrator and his wife who, after the death of their son Charlie, retreat to the Scottish Highlands, where they encounter an unknown evil.
