In a statement released to the press, Ziering claimed that the bikers had instigated the incident and that he had acted in self-defense.
“I was driving home from a charity event when a group of bikers started harassing me,” Ziering said. “They were yelling at me and making threats, and when I tried to ignore them, they got physical. I had no choice but to defend myself.”
