Biography

Mitchell Hazlett Lewis, known professionally as Hazlett, is an Australian-born, Stockholm-based indie-folk singer-songwriter whose introspective lyrics and atmospheric melodies have captivated a global audience. Hailing from Brisbane, Australia, Hazlett’s journey to music was anything but conventional. Initially working as a bassist-for-hire and ghostwriter, he spent years behind the scenes, touring with various bands and honing his craft. Despite a stint in advertising and nearly quitting music altogether, a pivotal moment came when a friend in Sweden recognized his vocal talent, prompting a life-changing move to Stockholm.
