Zoey Deutch films Voicemails for Isabelle in Vancouver, with scenes shot at Havana on Commercial Drive.

Zoey Deutch was recently spotted filming her new movie Voicemails for Isabelle in Vancouver, turning heads on Commercial Drive—one of Time Out’s picks for “coolest streets in the world.” On July 29, scenes were shot at Havana Vancouver, a well-known local spot famous for its Latin-inspired food and patio vibe.

Directed by Leah McKendrick, the film stars Deutch as a young woman grieving her sister’s death by leaving voicemails on her old number—only to learn it’s been reassigned to a real estate agent. Nick Robinson co-stars, though his role hasn’t been confirmed.

Photos from the set, including fan selfies with Deutch, made their way onto social media, drawing attention to the production. Filming began July 10 and runs through August 26. Deutch’s past credits include Zombieland: Double Tap and Why Him?, and Voicemails for Isabelle marks her latest leading role in a feature film. A release date has not yet been announced.
