James Norton got a surprise photobomb from Thomasin McKenzie at the ‘Joy’ premiere, gearing up for a release in November!
Bet James Norton didn’t see this coming! During the headline gala screening of their film Joy at the BFI London Film Festival, his co-star Thomasin McKenzie seized the moment and, when James wasn’t looking, photobombed his picture while he was completely unaware she was behind him.
It’s no wonder Thomasin was in high spirits! Along with her co-stars James Norton and Bill Nighy, their long-anticipated film Joy finally premiered. While it was just screened at the BFI, the official release date for the movie is set for November 15 in the UK, and November 22 on Netflix.
Joy follows a nurse, played by McKenzie, an ingenious scientist, played by James Norton, and a talented surgeon, played by Bill Nighy. Set in the 1960s, their aim is to develop the first test-tube baby. The movie is based on the story of Louise Brown, the first human born via in vitro fertilisation, a groundbreaking achievement in medical history.
Thomasin McKenzie’s year is packed with projects, including the comedy Fackham Hall with Hero Fiennes Tiffin, and I, Object, a live-action film with Karl Urban, Jemaine Clement, and Anna Faris. With just under a month before Joy premieres, be sure to mark your calendars to witness the evolution of medicine on the silver screen!
