It is impossible to put FKA Twigs’ music in one box. She managed to create a completely new understanding of pop music permeated with avant-garde electronics that speak to the masses.
The concept behind Eusexua was born in 2022 when FKA Twigs was filming a music video in Prague. She attended local raves where electronic music changed her whole perspective on music and how it impacts people raving in the club all night.
With that in mind, the artist embarked on a journey of making an album that would serve not just as a home listening experience but also work on the dancefloor.
Bizarre electronics, heavy kicks, and sensual vocals are present throughout the entire tracklist. As the artist notes, she wanted to portray the feeling one experiences right before orgasm. The album is also about clarity and presence, leading to the ultimate enjoyment of the moment.
FKA Twigs also released a series of visualizers on YouTube that are just as sensual as her music. A high-contrast body moving in a very unorthodox fashion ignites the viewer’s attention.
Earlier, the artist released a video teaser on Instagram, showing her running in fear against a very dystopian backdrop with agonizing music. The video is scheduled to premiere today!
