Tamara Smart Joins 'Percy Jackson' Season 2 as Zeus's Fearless Daughter Thalia Grace
Rising English actress Tamara Smart joins ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ Season 2 as Thalia Grace, daughter of Zeus.
Emerging English actress Tamara Smart joins the cast of the upcoming season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians as Thalia Grace.
If you don’t remember who Thalia Grace is, she was mentioned in the first book’s backstory. She is the daughter of Zeus (played by Lance Reddick in the series), who sacrificed herself to save her friends from monsters. Zeus wouldn’t allow that to happen, so he intervened and saved her life by turning her into a pine tree, which then protected Camp Half-Blood with its magic barrier.
In the second book, which will be adapted into the season 2 of the TV series, Thalia’s tree is poisoned, and Percy, Annabeth, and Tyson go on a quest to retrieve the Golden Fleece to heal the tree and save her.
Tamara Smart’s previous roles include Enid Nightshade in The Worst Witch (where she made her acting debut) Juliet Butler in Artemis Fowl, and young Jade Wesker in Resident Evil, where she starred alongside Lance Reddick, playing his daughter once again. Following the announcement of her casting, Tamara shared a photo on her Instagram with her and Lance Reddick, captioned “For you,” paying tribute to the late actor.
Alongside Tamara, Timothy Simons was also announced to join the cast in the second season as Tantalus, as reported by Variety. They are joining series regulars Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, and Aryan Simhadri, who will embark on a quest for the Golden Fleece. With no official release date yet, fans can expect the second season to drop in 2025, so keep your eyes peeled in the coming months!
