Shaboozey Eyes Epic Collab with Rap Icon Future

The country music phenomenon, with 19 weeks of consecutive domination on the Billboard Hot 100, now wants to collaborate with rapper Future.
In a recent interview with Holler, country singer Shaboozey expressed his admiration for
Future and his interest in collaborating on a song.
“That would be awesome,” Shaboozey said, highlighting the shared roots of Atlanta’s hip-hop scene and country’s heartland. He added, “The stories and messaging are sometimes the same—just add an acoustic guitar, and it’s country.”
A Shaboozey-Future track could fuse twangy riffs with trap beats, shaking up both genres.
Shaboozey is no stranger to collabs, either: he teamed with Beyoncé on Spaghettii and Sweet Honey Buckin’ from Cowboy Carter, blended vibes with
BigXthaPlug on Drink Don’t Need No Mix, and rocked the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack with
Duckwrth on Start a Riot. New music might drop soon—Shaboozey’s on fire and aiming higher.

Future, Atlanta’s hip-hop revolutionary, has brought a pioneering style of Auto-Tuned vocals to the mainstream. His 2015 album DS2 (Dirty Sprite 2), with tracks like Fuck Up Some Commas, became a trap classic.
Three weeks ago, Future uploaded a new music video for LIL DEMON – a strong sonic and visual statement in trap music.
