Looks like Sasha Calle’s passing the Supergirl torch to Milly Alcock, and she couldn’t be more pumped about it. In an exclusive with IndieWire, Calle’s got nothing but encouragement for her successor, telling Alcock to “have so much fun” and “f-----g kill it” in the role.
Alcock’s Supergirl is part of DC’s upcoming Gods and Monsters chapter, hitting theaters in 2026. The new iteration of Supergirl promises a stark contrast to Calle’s version, influenced by a world where Superman did not survive childhood. Instead, Alcock’s character will evolve concurrently with Superman, played by David Corenswet, reflecting a grittier narrative drawn from the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow comic.
Looks like the DCEU’s about to give us a Supergirl like we’ve never seen before. With Calle’s seal of approval and Alcock’s acting chops, this is shaping up to be one intense, action-packed ride!
