Ryan Destiny’s latest movie, The Fire Inside, about 
Claressa “T-Rex” Shields, was recently released and is receiving praise from all directions. Most importantly, it has earned praise from Claressa Shields herself!
In an interview with TMZ Sports, Shields described the movie as “inspiring,” revealing that she has already seen it nine times. She believes the film will change lives and went on to praise Destiny, saying she “did such a great job.”
The Fire Inside follows Shields in the early days of her boxing career, chronicling her journey to the 2012 Summer Olympics. Destiny stars as Shields, alongside 
Brian Tyree Henry as Jason Crutchfield, 
Oluniké Adeliyi as Jackie Shields, and 
De’Adre Aziza as Mickey.
The movie was theatrically released last month on Christmas Day, grossing $1.6 million on its first day and debuting with $2 million in its opening weekend. It has already earned Destiny several awards for her performance, and she has received an Indie Spirit Award nomination for Best Lead Performance.
