Rachel Zegler calls Chappell Roan “brilliant” for clapping back at invasive fans, sharing her own struggles with fame.

Rachel Zegler is showing some love to Chappell Roan! In her recent Teen Vogue interview with her Romeo + Juliet co-star Kit Connor, Rachel expressed admiration for Chappell Roan and how she handled criticism after having to cancel her performance at the All Things Go festival.

Rachel called Chappell “brilliant” and criticized her haters, saying they “simply don’t know what it’s like to not have an ounce of privacy anymore.”

“I think the people who are mad at her are idiots.”

Rachel understands what it’s like to suddenly be in the spotlight. Her career began on YouTube, and while things were fine at first, they eventually turned sour when she was doxxed, and her privacy was stripped away.

Earlier this year, Chappell Roan posted a TikTok where she called out people who don’t respect her privacy, harass her family, and stalk her.

“If you saw a random woman on the street, would you yell at her from your car window? Would you harass her in public? Would you go up to a random lady and say, ‘Can I get a photo with you?’ and she’s like, ‘No, what the fck?’ and then you get mad at this random lady? Would you be offended if she says no to your time because she has her own time?”

With that TikTok, she made it clear that despite being a public figure, she doesn’t owe fans any of her time or space — and that is completely true.

We love to see Rachel show some love to Chappell, as both of them are in the public eye and have faced scrutiny, no matter how absurd it was. The message is clear, people: respect the boundaries!
