Rachel Sennott and Bowen Yang Set to Announce This Year’s Oscar Nominations

Rachel Sennott and Bowen Yang, both actors and comedians, were chosen to announce the Oscar nominations for this year. After a few delays, the ceremony now has a date set for January 23.

The nominations ceremony was originally scheduled for January 17, but it had to be rescheduled due to the wildfires. For the same reason, it was postponed again to the 23rd, and the voting deadline was extended to January 17. Final voting begins on February 11 and ends on February 18.

The 97th Academy Awards will take place on March 2 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, with Conan O’Brien hosting the ceremony for the first time.

Rachel Sennott is currently preparing for the release of her drama Bunnylovr, which will premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. She will also be part of the roster of actors announced for Variety’s Interview Studio at the festival.

Bowen Yang will have something to show at Sundance as well—the romantic comedy The Wedding Banquet, starring Lily Gladstone and Kelly Marie Tran. Just like Sennott, he will be a part of the Interview Studio to discuss the upcoming project.
