Paul Mescal informed his followers about an important detail regarding Gladiator II, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2000 classic. The actor shared on Instagram that the film will have a runtime of 2 hours and 21 minutes. Directed by Ridley Scott, Gladiator II stars Mescal as Lucius Verus, the former heir to the Roman Empire, alongside Pedro Pascal, Joseph Quinn, Connie Nielsen, and Denzel Washington.
The story is set more than two decades after the events of the original 2000 film (which had a runtime of 155 minutes, with an extended version of 171 minutes) and follows Lucius, who is forced into slavery and must fight in the brutal world of gladiators. The film is set to be released in UK cinemas on November 15 and in the US on November 22. Fans of the original film are eagerly awaiting the sequel, which promises the same epic scale and intense drama as the original starring Russell Crowe.
