Ncuti Gatwa, known for his role in Sex Education, has been immortalized in wax at Madame Tussauds London. The reveal showcased Gatwa’s wax figure in a Whoniverse-inspired set, complete with his 2023 Christmas Special costume. This detailed figure, down to the chipped nail polish, captures Gatwa’s essence as the 15th Doctor in Doctor Who.
The waxwork, featuring a 1960s-inspired outfit, marks a significant moment as Gatwa is the first Black actor to portray the Doctor. The creation process began in July 2023, with Gatwa collaborating closely with the museum’s artists. He gave his final approval in May, and the set was unveiled by Doctor Who showrunner Russell T Davies.
Fans can view this new addition from July 19, alongside other film and TV icons in Madame Tussauds’ revamped section. This wax figure promises an exciting experience for all Doctor Who enthusiasts.
