If you can’t wait to see Milly Alcock as Supergirl, we have great news for you! The highly anticipated Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow movie has officially started filming in the UK!
The film will be the second entry in James Gunn’s new DC Universe, following Superman with David Corenswet, which is set to be released on July 11 this year.
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow follows Kara Zor-El, who begins traveling the galaxy with her dog Krypto on her 21st birthday. During her travels, she meets a young girl named Ruthye and embarks on a bloody revenge quest.
Besides Alcock, the movie features Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills, Eve Ridley as Ruthye Marye Knoll, and Jason Momoa as Lobo, who was the last one to join the cast.
The film is set for release on June 26, 2026, and will be part of the DCU’s Chapter One: God and Monsters. This chapter will also include the films Clayface, The Authority, The Brave and the Bold, and Swamp Thing, all of which are currently in development.
Alcock made her feature film debut in 2018’s horror The School and most recently starred in House of the Dragon as the young Rhaenyra Targaryen. Her second film will be this year’s Superman, where she will debut as Supergirl.
