Mikey Madison in Talks for 'The Social Network' Sequel Based on 'The Facebook Files'

Oscar-winner Mikey Madison is in talks to join Aaron Sorkin’s ‘The Social Network Part II’, based on ‘The Facebook Files’.
Mikey Madison might be headed back to the spotlight in a big way. After winning an Oscar for her performance in Anora, she’s now Aaron Sorkin’s top choice to star in The Social Network Part II, as reported by Deadline.
The new film, a follow-up to the 2010 original, shifts focus from Facebook’s creation to the fallout—drawing from The Facebook Files, a 2021 Wall Street Journal investigation that exposed how the platform ignored warnings about its impact on teens, public safety, and politics.
Madison is being considered for the role of the whistleblower who provided the documents behind the series. Emmy winner Jeremy Allen White (The Bear) is also in talks to join the cast as journalist Jeff Horwitz. While casting is still unconfirmed, the film is in development at Sony with Sorkin set to write and direct. The project is being produced by Sorkin, Todd Black, Peter Rice, and Stuart Besser.
