Little Simz Delays New Album 'Lotus' to June Due to Film Project

Little Simz’s new album Lotus will now arrive on June 6, as she juggles dual careers in music and acting, including a mystery film role.
Little Simz has rescheduled the release of her upcoming album, Lotus, from May 9 to June 6, 2025, due to filming commitments for an undisclosed movie project. She informed fans via Instagram, expressing regret over the delay and requesting their patience.

Lotus marks her sixth studio album and follows her critically acclaimed 2022 release, NO THANK YOU. Simz has already released singles from Lotus, including Flood, featuring Obongjayar and
Moonchild Sanelly, and Free, a poetic exploration of love.
In addition to her music and acting endeavors, Simz is set to curate the 30th edition of London’s Meltdown Festival at the Southbank Centre from June 12 to 22, 2025 — this makes her the youngest artist to assume the role. The festival will feature a lineup personally selected by Simz, including artists such as Jon Batiste,
Lola Young,
Ghetts, and
Sasha Keable. She will also perform tracks from Lotus on the festival’s closing night alongside the Chineke! Orchestra.
