Isabela Merced takes home the Next Generation Impact Award at NHMC’s 2025 gala, celebrating Latino talent in Hollywood.
Rising star Isabela Merced was honored at the 2025 National Hispanic Media Coalition Impact Awards Gala, a major event celebrating Latino achievements in entertainment. Held on June 6 at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, the gala brought together top talent, including Merced’s The Last of Us co-stars
Gabriel Luna and
Young Mazino, who presented her with the Next Generation Impact Award.
Merced, who’s quickly becoming a household name thanks to her work in Alien: Romulus, The Last of Us, and the upcoming Superman and Hawkgirl movies, accepted the award by highlighting the unity within the Latino community. “Everyone’s win does not mean somebody else’s loss. This community has always been supportive and generous,” she said in her speech.
Hosted by Al Madrigal and
Jessica Marie Garcia, the event spotlighted Latino representation in Hollywood and recognized Merced’s contributions to the industry.
