The 1883 actress Isabel May is about to star in Wild World, a revenge thriller by Aron Gaudet and Gita Pullapilly, the couple behind the films Beneath the Harvest Sky and Queenpins, Variety reports.
The official description of the movie is as follows:
“A determined young woman embarks on a perilous journey, utilizing her survival expertise to locate her abducted younger sibling and exact vengeance upon those responsible, driven by an unrelenting thirst for retribution.”
The script is penned by Gaudet and Pullapilly, marking their return three years after the release of Queenpins, a comedy featuring Kristen Bell, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Paul Walter Hauser, Bebe Rexha, and Vince Vaughn. Despite the promising cast, the film received lukewarm reviews, which was reflected in its box office performance, earning $1.2 million against a $6.7 million budget.
May, best known for her role in the series 1883 and its sequel 1923, has several projects lined up. She’s currently filming the romantic comedy Love Language with Chloë Grace Moretz and Lukas Gage, while also preparing to shoot the thriller Sunflower with Scott Speedman and Jurnee Smollett.
And if that’s not enough, she has two movies in post-production: a sci-fi horror titled Menace with Colm Feore and Paula Boudreau, and a romantic drama titled Falling with Archie Renaux and Emma Laird. With this many projects lined up, it’s only a matter of time before Isabel graces the silver screen once again!
