From Stage to Santa: How Noah Kahan Is Delivering $1 Million in Mental Health Support
'Tis the season of giving, and Noah Kahan is playing Santa in the best way possible!
The Vermont’s own rising star just announced he’s donating a whopping $1 million this December to over 100 mental health organizations across North America through his nonprofit, The Busyhead Project.
Since kicking off The Busyhead Project in May 2023, Noah Kahan has raised over $4 million—with more than $3 million coming in just this year from fan donations, his “We’ll All Be Here Forever” tour, and online campaigns. Drawing from his own experiences with anxiety, depression, and body dysmorphia, Noah’s music resonates deeply with fans who appreciate his authenticity and openness about mental health.
During his global tour, which wrapped up in September, Noah transformed concert venues into hubs of hope. The Busyhead Project Action Village at each stop offered resources and a place for fans to share their stories. Partnering with Backline, he provided free mental health care and wellness days, supporting 108 local organizations along the way.
September was a total highlight reel. Noah hosted a sold-out benefit concert at the Champlain Valley Exposition in Vermont, and even snagged an official nod when Governor Phil Scott declared September 19 as “Noah Kahan’s Busyhead Project Day”.
From his 2017 breakout with the gold-certified “Hurt Somebody” to his Grammy-nominated album “Stick Season”, Noah’s journey is pure inspiration. Rooted in his Vermont upbringing, his music now speaks to a global audience.
