Elyanna Drops 'Kayani': A Tribute to Bollywood Hit 'Deewani Mastani'

After concluding an unforgettable India tour with Coldplay, Elyanna treats fans to Kayani, an Arabic twist on the Bollywood favorite Deewani Mastani. Originally performed by Shreya Ghoshal and composed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali for Bajirao Mastani, this timeless track now gets a Middle Eastern pop spin with Elyanna’s signature vocals and percussive elements.

Shot in Mumbai, the music video features glimpses of Elyanna exploring local streets and performing at Coldplay’s shows. It’s yet another milestone for the Palestinian-Chilean singer, who has blended Arabic music with pop, R&B, and EDM influences throughout her career. Her self-titled 2020 EP introduced tracks like Ana Lahale and Ghareeb Alay, and established her as a breakout star in Arabic pop.

Elyanna made history in 2023 as the first artist to perform an all-Arabic set at Coachella, and has since taken her dynamic stage presence to Glastonbury and Saturday Night Live.
