David Corenswet Injured Himself Filming 'Superman': “My Testicle!”

David Corenswet says he bruised his testicle during a flying stunt while filming ‘Superman’: “There’s footage of it.”
Even superheroes take a hit. During a Vanity Fair “Lie Detector Test” video, Superman star David Corenswet revealed he got a bruise on his “right testicle” while filming an intense flying scene for the film.
“There’s footage from filming of me getting pulled through the air,” he said. “It’s this big epic punch and a leap through the air, and then just, ‘My testicle!’”
The moment he’s referring to appears in the trailer—where Superman punches through glass and flies out of a building using a harness. The stunt looked great on screen, but apparently came with real-life consequences.
Nicholas Hoult, who plays Lex Luthor in the film and asked the question during the interview, couldn’t help but laugh: “I want to ask you more questions about your testicles, but I don’t know where to go that’s appropriate.”
Superman, directed by James Gunn, is now playing in theaters.
