Connor Swindells is showing more of his William Tell bad guy, Gessler! The actor took to Instagram to share a clip from the epic historical drama that was just released, rallying up more and more people to watch the film.
William Tell is based on the play of the same name, which revolves around the legendary Swiss marksman William Tell, who defends his family and homeland, Switzerland, as it is attacked by the Austrian army. In the film, Swindells plays Albrecht Gessler, a Habsburg bailiff whose ruthless rule leads to William Tell’s rebellion.
Swindells stars as the main villain in the film and stands against Claes Bang’s William Tell, the hero. Besides these two, the movie also features Golshifteh Farahani as Suna, Jonah Hauer-King as Rudenz, Ellie Bamber as Bertha, and Ben Kingsley as King Albert, among others.
Swindells is currently busy filming the British drama series Lockerbie with Merritt Wever and Patrick J. Adams, about the deadliest terrorist attack in the UK, the 1988 disaster of Pan Am Flight 103. He will also star in the upcoming Christmas rom-com Jingle Bell Heist with Olivia Holt.
