BoyWithUke, aka Charley Yang, just released his new single “Gaslight” from his upcoming album Burnout, which marks the final chapter under the BoyWithUke name.

BoyWithUke’s Gaslight starts off with a chill pop-rock vibe which slowly transforms into a powerful guitar finish. Plus, the music video introduces Tobi, a haunting doppelganger who plays a key role in the album’s storyline.

The album is a mix of genres from rock and grunge, to R&B and hip-hop, and more. Charley revealed that the album title was inspired by his own period of burnout. In an interview with Prelude Press, Charley admitted: “I was feeling tired just because it’s been go, go, go since I started.”

'Burnout' marks Yang’s last album as BoyWithUke, along with plans to retire his signature mask. It is unannounced at this given time what he will be changing his name to.

Written after a breakup, Burnout dives into love, fame, and dealing with personal stuff. Yang’s aiming for this album to connect and help his fans heal, just like it did for him.

With the mask off, Yang’s revealing more of his real self. His music has evolved since his TikTok blow-up in 2020, where he went viral with Minute Long Songs. Hits like Toxic set the stage, but now he’s showing who he is - unfiltered.
